HAZY LEXUS WINDOW

Any of our detailers out there (not including Doug Delmont) had any experience with LEXUS windows hazing up that will not clean up? Using different window cleaners and different towels and techniques it remains a problem, only on LEXUS.

Your comments would be appreciated

There is something else involved, as the vendor for the interiors for Lexus is the same company as for Toyota.

Plus, after some research and phone calls,(including contacts in engineering at Toyota USA, IE Lexus, no customer concern reports of any number, are found.

This is regarding another issue.

Bud-
(LOL) I can't resist answering... in the style you would :

1) Windshield glass is a silica derived shatter glass containing a layer of Poly-vinylbuterol . Since the glass cleaner will not come into contact with the Poly-vinylbuterol , this is totally irrelevant .

2) Hazing is normally the result of foreign matter clinging to the polished inner surface of the glass . To remove the haze, you must remove the foreign matter .
The foreign matter may be plasticizers or other chemicals contained in interior materials or it could come from out-gassing of protectants applied by detailers or the car's owner . Cigarette smoke, marijuana smoke ( which contains THC ) and industrial fallout that vents into the car can haze the glass also .
3) To remove the contaminants, you will need a glass cleaner specifically designed for this task. Choose one with a high concentration of Butyl Cellusolve , AKA Glycol Ether .
4) You may also want to consult the wonderful members of the IDA , the International Detailing Association...
...or NAPDR ! ( LOL)

Martin-
Good to see you are still posting . Useful post, too.

I wonder if the windshield looks most hazy when the driver has used too much of an alcohol-based beverage ( LOL) .
