Help for a Newbie

Hello,

I'm new to this forum and just recently decided to actively look for a good E roadster. I am a roadster fanatic and currently have a '02 CLK55AMG cabrio. Although this car is loads of fun, I must say it just does not have the "panache". I started a search for a BMC mini cooper but was disappointed with what's out there. So I shifted my lusty search to the "real" garage queen roadster of all time, the E type roadster. I'm relatively handy (my dad had me tag all parts during an Austin 1100 rebuild in the 70's), and although I was pissed off at the time, I always have a rag, a penlight, and various assortments of metric tools in my jeans every weekend. I'm tolerant of Lucas electrics and have carb synchronizers.

So, will the experts steer me in the right direction, please? I don't know if it's wishful thinking but I love the sound of 12s, the look of wires, and can spend around $30Gs. Where should I look first?

Thanks

Ray
