whats the best year GTO?

Hi, I live in the great state of texas, and was interested in turning a GTO into an unstoppable force of American ingenuity. What would be the best year GTO to purchase to transform it into an all-american muscle car? Thankyou,

As far as the best year...you need to decide that. We all have our favorites. I like all years, but own a 74....is it american muscle, yes, right on the very tail end, but it is...

Bottom line is find one that you like, and get it on the road!

I agree whole heartedly. I am a big fan of the 70 Judge. But if it is a GTO, no matter what the year, it will be the coolest car you have ever owned. No matter what anyone elses opinion is. So go find you a goat, and have a great time with it!

69 all the way

All the years are great, but it all came together in 69. Get one with a four-speed and disc brakes....doesn't get much better.

It came together in 69, and got even better in 70.
