1965 tempest

In 1965, did pontiac make a tempest custom gto? I came across a 2 dr hardtop, with gto emblems and a tempest custom dash emblem. is this a real gto ???

Good eye there are several things like this that can be tip offs to a fake GTO

Also look for non chrome Valve covers or extra trim holes in the body where Tempest or Lemans trim goes

The only way to truly tell in 64 and 65 GTO is get the PHS to fax you documentation costing about $45 using the vin number

In 66 GTO became its own car with the vin number starting with 242
