67 GTO

I am looking at buying a 1967 GTO and i checked the vin # and all of it checked out to be a GTO hardtop, but it is a automatic gto but it is a coleum shifter instead of it being on the floor, has anybody seen one like this and how many were done like this if any at all, this gentleman is the second owner of the car since 1973 and he said the car came like that, if antbody knows of this please e-mail me at unverrich@netzero.com this is my correct e-mail adrress i messed up on registration and i do not know how to fix it.

CLIFF EVERY YEAR THERE WERE A FEW ORDER LIKE THAT, IT RARE BUT THERE OUT THERE. THERE EVEN A FEW OUT THERE WITH 2 BARREL MOTORS.
YOU COULD SEND THE VIN TO PHS AND THE COULD SEND YOU A BILL SHEET AND HISTORY ON THE CAR. I THINK IT'S ABOUT $35.00.

Thanks for the information i do appricate the quick response, it also does not come with the tach in the dash or aconsole the main thing was the shifter, and i will send for the bill sheet when i get the car.
