67 400 ci HO motor question

how can you tell the difference between a 335 hp 400ci, and a 360hp 400ci HO motor and what does the number 670 on the heads mean, is there numbers on the block, heads where and how do i figure this out i have the wrong air cleaner and carb on the 400 let me know thanks

One way to find out what engine you have is to look at the 2 letter code stamped just below the passenger side head at the front of the engine to the left of the water pump.

In 1967 the 335hp engine codes for auto and 4 speed were, YS and WT
The 360hp HO codes were, WS and WZ ( I think). There were also the Ram Air codes, which I think were XS and YZ. Im not absolutely sure of these codes, and I could be incorrect.
You might want to stop in at your local book store to double check me

The number 670 is the correct casting code for either the 335hp or the 360hp HO heads in 1967.
