Help! Camshaft wear

I keep wearing out camshafts. Haven't put 200 miles on the car, yet! This is the second cam that more than one lobe has been worn down. Have standard pressed in studs. Standard 068 grind (so the engine shop sez). Standard 1.5 stamped rockers. Locking rocker arm nuts. I take the pushrods to zero lash (being careful not to compress hydraulic lifters), and an additional 1/4 turn. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??

WHERE IN THE NAME OF PETE ARE YOU GETTTING YOUR CAMSHAFTS.

SOUND LIKE BAD CASTINGS. IS IT JUST THE SAME LOBES?

YOU SHOULD CHECK THE SPRINGS AND LENGHTH OF VALVES AND GUIDES.

GOOD LUCK

The box the engine shop handed me didn't have any "brand" name on it. However, the "questionable" cam was sent back to the factory--nothing found wrong with it. QUESTION: Does it make a difference on whether the car is running when adjusting the lash? I wouldn't think so, but.....

TRY SETTING LASH WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD. DONT KNOW IF IT MATERS
BUT I THINK IT WOULD. THAT THE GREAT THING ABOUT PONTIAC ENGINES
YOU JUST TIGHTEN TO O LASH AND A 1/4 TO HALF TURN MORE.

GOOD LUCK

How do the lifters look on the lobes that are wearing? I am presuming that you replaced them with the cam too, correct?

Lifters were dished out on worn lobes. And yes, I replaced teh lifters each cam replacement.
Could the valve springs be set incorrectly by the engine shop? The heads are not GTO ones. 093, I think.
