run problem 65 GTO

HELP! I have a 65 tri power it will idle fine and run fine under throttle but at steady speed it wants to serge, buck ,learch,and jump.
I have set timing, changed dist!, built carbs ,rebuilt carbs. and can,t get it out any help? I have checked the intake for leaks and or crackes.

I had the same problem and I found out that the front and rear carbs were opening do to weak springs, I removed the front and rear carbs, blocked the opennings and ran the car, thats how I found the problem. This may not be your problem or not. it can also be in the dist. weak or worn fly weight or springs.

I WOULD CHECK THE SPRINGES IN THE VACCUM ADVANCE.

The dist. is new ,not to say that it is not weak. I will check springs that may be it. Thanks for all the help

Just a thought could a bad power valve in the carb make this happen?

HAVE YOU TRIED SYNCING THE CARBS? HAD SAME PROBLEM IN 69 WITH MY GOAT.THIS SOLVED MY PROBLEM

probably it is the springs in distribetor I just went through the same problem. put lighter ones in and problem is cured
