Some 1967 GTOs from GMs Pontiac,Mich. plant have data plates showing an
extra number after the build date...
When the first line on a 67 GTO data plate shows build date 12D1
I believe 12D is the fourth week of December('66).
I'm trying to find out what the LAST 1 in 12D1 means.
The GTO data plate guides and books I've seen don't have the answer.
They mention it may be a plant work shift or priority code but it's unknown.
If anybody knows the answer please tell me.I'd really appreciate it.Thanks!
