A 1989 article in Professional Carwashing & Detailing Magazine "The truth about Teflon" quotes a G.R. Ansul of Dupont's Car Care products, Speciality Products Division. "The addition of a Teflon" flouropolymer resin does nothing to enhance the properties in car waxes, and we have not seen data from other people that supports this position. How are you using them as a long term filling pure polish without the product washing off?by concoursgarage - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
What could be more straight forward than asking your peers what they thought of a particular product or company?...that is what forums are for, they bring together like minded people with similar interests to inform us, to share knowledge and discuss ideas and since this one is called "secrets of the experts" who better to ask than the people here. I will certainly read the website.by concoursgarage - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts

Why when a WOMAN speaks it is contrarian ? and when a MAN speaks it is a discussion? very perplexing... It is thru dialogue/discussion that I learn and make better decisions. It took me the same amount of time and discussion over 10 years ago to add to high speed buffers and accept Porter Cable, cyclo, and then the Forced Action Festool and Flex. Thanks... when I asked the question I really had in mind established businesses, who are facing problems as a result of downturn in economy and heavy rains in the Northwest. They are not under capitalized, they have excellent trained technicians with good management.. they cannot attract customers due to inclement weather and are not growing due to economy (in their areas)by concoursgarage - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts

Several detailer's across the country are expressing the fact they are having difficulty with the business and are considering closing. While the economy plays a role...why is it with the millions of vehicles out there on the roads who need our services... detailing businesses have such a hard time attracting customers.by concoursgarage - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts

I do not think shampoo residue is a big issue we need worry about... A good 90% percent or more of most carpets in automobiles are covered by floor mats and take on the brunt of the soiling. Typically most of the mats are pressure washed and have little residue. The carpet is typically soiled by spills like coffe, juice etc which has seeped under the floor mats. of course a percentage of peopleby concoursgarage - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
Profile.. I hope this explanation can help clarify When you are cleaning the upholstery or carpet of a modern vehicle you are probably cleaning a textile which is olefin. This olefin is pretty resistant material. It can fend-off many spills and stains. Because it is petroleum-based and “oil-loving” – it can also fend-off the water which you are using as the main solvent in your cleaning prby concoursgarage - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
