It has Butyls in it, so definitely not for up-market vehicle interiors. Leather would turn to crap with it. Might have a bleaching effect on fabrics if not diluted way down as well.by Profile Detailer - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
No offense taken, Bill. I was actually astounded to read that on the marketing blurb. I actually learned how to apply Mystery from a guy who worked with SV (not for them, but with them). The blurb up to recent times was 40 applications from a pot. That would bring the cost down to about $12 per application. Personally, I am getting over 50 cars from a jar with two coats per car. Yep, he got a nice glossy finish there. He got rid of the surface damage caused by washing incorrectly through a . Very good wax applied with a soft applicator leaves a perfect finish. I have used that wax myself quite often on my own and client's cars. Firstly, its not right to compare ANYTHING trivial to cancer. I just want to get that said and out of the way now. Bill, you should not be banned from a forum because you like a product. The detailing forums are full of it with trendy brands and just because you like and enthusiastically promote one that nobody else knows, it tends to irk the mainstream crowd. I'm always trying new products, Bill. I enjoy it and its good to be able to talk with people who ask if I have tried products x, y and z to find out what I think. That's why I stripped it off the paint. The right shampoo to use is one that is made by the company who creates the wax. They are designed to work in conjunction with and support the product on the paint. For example, if oby Profile Detailer - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
Bill, no point debating with a spammer. Notice his Honda Car is a hyperlink to a website! I disagree with you all about Carnauba waxes, btw. They are durable. You need to use the right shampoos with them and they last well. I had one on for 6 months but I wanted to try something new so I stripped it and started again. The issue people have with them is that they are over-priced compared wby Profile Detailer - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
I just emailed an application. Fingers crossed for me, guys! : P They probably just mean hand-buff. Most bulk sealants are easy on, easy off for a short term gloss. Public perception will always be a problem for high quality detailers. Hi SVR. Very surprised to hear you use it with C2. I would rate it better than C2 which in reality only lasts a few months as a sealant. You applying CDG via DA? Two coats offers a fantastic finish. I'm getting very good feedback on the longevity and ease of maintenance from customers. One client got a brand new car and drove it straight over to me for a coating of CDG. The way people talk, the way they write and the way other people receive the message can be very different. Bill isn't coming across as crazy, Pro-Techt. But you are having a heavy rant about what he is saying which makes you look a little over-emotional. Bill is simply saying that Detailers who machine-polish with filler products will find that swirl marks return as the fillers diminish.by Profile Detailer - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
Bill, I think the best thing for you to do would be to contact GEM and get the name of other knowledgeable detailers who use the product and invite them on here to discuss AT-5. I can't get it in my country without huge shipping costs so at this time I don't believe it would be worth my while. Bill, respectfully I don't understand your perspective on this. I use Flex polishers, a range of pads and polishes and deliver a swirl-free finish. I use IPA to cleanse the paint of any residual oils from the polish and if I spot any swirls, I finish it down again. Funny you should say that, Ruben. I sometimes use my PC with a soft pad at the end of the day on my lower back. Its fantastic as a massager! But back to the machine and discussion... To the majority of people having a clean car is of secondary importance. Different than dealers, for example, who definitely need a clean car to present to potential buyers. Doesn't make sense though, Bud. How can you rinse it clean with itself? I know that in the carpet cleaning field you can get shampoo neutraliser. Its a very, very mild acid formulation. TBH, I got a lot of customers drawn to the idea of having it applied to their car. The wax is more hype than substance but it has already paid for itself and I have barely put a dent in the tub of wax. A little goes a long way and the wax is as durable as a sealant.
