The doors on the Ferrari Enzo depart from what is usually seen on cars designed by Pininfarina for Ferrari. Normally small to the point of being diminutive, they are quite large on the Enzo. They make up the majority of the roof's real estate and even extend to the area normally occupied by the rocker panels. Entry and egress is a breeze. Also new for Ferrari is the way the doors open. They hinge near the top rear of the front fenders and at the front corner of the roof opening. It's a design often seen on Les Mans race cars and is a cross between the "scissors" doors on the Lamborghini Countach and the "gullwing" style found on the Delorean. Bottom Right: the substantial hinge near the fender carries the majority of the load.
