1974 GTO/Ventura

Theres not much hoopla about the "74" but I would like to hear from collectors like me who enjoy having such A rare and unusal GTO.

I saw you message dated 10/31/05 and I also have a 74 gto that I have been working on for a few years. The worst problem I have is finding parts for this car. Do you have a good place to find parts?

I need the front and rear bumper filler, rear lights in good condition. I am sure there are quite a few more things I need and I will take a look this week and get back to you. The car has been kept in a garage not far from my house.

Also I am thinking of replacing the 350 engine with a 400 or 455. What are your thoughts on replacing the engine? I think I need a little more power. My 350 has a comp cam, headers, edelbrock manifold, and 650 holley carb.

Jon - I have promised another enthusiest some pics of some parts by the end of this weekend. I have an excellent front bumper filler and a set of tail lights. If memory serves me, they are in good condition with no cracks.

Motorwise...there is no harm in more power! But, if the 350 is original, stuff it in a corner so that you can still have the numbers matching claim. As for the holley...never been a big fan of holleys...I think a nicely built quadrajet will do as well, but I am sure others will disagree...

I do have a 400 short block that I would also consider selling, if you are interested.
