1967 Pontiac GTO as used in the movie "xXx" starring Vin Diesel.
The 1967 model year featured only minor styling changes, mostly in the front grill and tail lights. A GM corporate wide mandate prohibited multi-carburetor engines, (except for the Corvette) so the Tri-Power was no longer available. Good news arrived in the form of a 400 cubic inch motor, a bored out version of the 389. The top of the line motor was the Ram Air (the brand name for cold air induction) 400 which had a lot in common with the XS motor option offered in 1966.
Transmission News: The ill performing two speed automatic was replaced by GM's three speed Turbo Hydra-Matic. When the center console was fitted, the Hurst equipped dual gate shifter was part of the deal, which allowed the driver to manually select the shift points.
